The Hawks have done this before, with Friday and Saturday games in Weatherford and Midland the last two weekends. This time it’s different though, both teams are tougher.
Big Spring vs. Odessa Permian
- 7:30 p.m., today, Big Spring
First-year Big Spring boys basketball head coach Cliff Thompson got his first win at the helm in Tuesday’s 69-33 rout of Fort Stockton. Now, a second one would be even better. The Steers will depend on a good mix of athleticism in tonight’s matchup. Tristain Clay and Luke Adams were the high scorers for the Steers in the season opener, with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

As an assistant those last five years, Huckabee helped develop players, but now in his first season as head coach, he plans on doing something to turn things around.
