D. Kay Shaw, 87, of Denton, formerly of Big Spring died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at her daughter's residence in Denton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ralph Anderson, minister of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Bernard "Bernie" Wanderer, 74, of Big Spring died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Dr. Randy Cotton officiating.
Juanita (Nita) Coffman, 81, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Regency Hospital in Odessa. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. The family will be at 1314 W. Leatherwood.
Elizabeth Ann Wasson Olufsen, 90, of Denton, formerly of Big Spring died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. She was born in Big Spring Oct. 26, 1920, and grew up in Maryland. She and her husband, George Olufsen, moved to Denton, in 1969, where she resided until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Rick and Lee. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Bradbury, Lora Miller and Bebe Olufsen.
Thomas Craig (T.C.) Tubb, 88, of Midland died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at his residence. His services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.

The District 5-3A honors for football were announced Monday with Brownwood being the last team knocked out of the playoffs.
The Big Spring Steers had 12 players earn honors, four of them on first team all-district.
Receiver Mike Menefield, offensive lineman Jackson Watkins, defensive end Devante Lloyd and safety Dennis Merworth earned first team
all-district honors. Merworth also earned a nod for honorable mention at receiver.
In less than 48 hours, Comanche Trail Park is going to be transformed into a poinsettia paradise.
Millions of lights will switch on for the Christmas holidays at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening when the 14th annual Comanche Trail Festival of Lights begins at the city park.
The event, featuring hundreds of lighted attractions ranging from poinsettias to oversized Christmas cards, is expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors to this year's run, which ends Dec. 31.
An apparent mix up in dates prevented Howard County commissioners from passing a ban on fireworks Monday morning, forcing officials to instead rely on informal requests that firework vendors not sell rockets that include sticks and fins.
Howard County Volunteer Fire Chief Tommy Sullivan informed commissioners of the situation Monday morning during the court's regular meeting.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• ELIZABETH HOPE LAREZ, 34, of 1111 N. Goliad, was arrested Monday on a warrant for driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
• AMBER RODRIGUEZ, 17, of 1003 N. Runnels, was arrested Monday on a charge of criminal trespass.
• JOE OLIVIO JR., 38, of 1109 S. Runnels, was arrested Monday on warrants for evading arrest or detention, failure to maintain financial responsibility and disregarding a stop sign.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported:
