SWEETWATER — Cora Lee Jernigan, 85, of Abilene, formerly of Sweetwater and Big Spring died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at the Sweetwater Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Cora was born Jan. 24, 1926. She married Ollie Brint “Shorty” Jernigan on Dec. 2, 1941, in Burnet County, Texas.
She is survived by three sons, Chester Jernigan of Goldsboro, Texas, Johnny Jernigan of Tuscola, Texas, and Buster Jernigan of Chicago, Texas.
