The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
• GABRIEL LEE MARTINEZ, 22, of 1611 Owens, was arrested Friday on warrants for theft greater than or equal to $500 and less than $1,500 all other, open container in a motor vehicle/driver and fail to appear.
• MELISSA GAY YOUNG, 42, of 800 Lancaster, was arrested Friday on a warrant for nuisance/animal repeatedly at large.
• JUAN MANUEL MARTINEZ-GONZALEZ, 68, of 609 S. Nolan, was arrested Friday on a charge of fictitious/counterfeit inspection certificate.

Kenneth Harris, 70, of Big Spring died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Bruce Shockley, 62, of Big Spring died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Hospice House in Odessa. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
