The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ STEPHEN HEATH GREGORY, 28, of 205 W. Sixth St., was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
â€˘ GILBERT GONZALES, 30, of 610 Goliad, was arrested Thursday on warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility, failure to appear and a warrant from another agency.

Christmastime has arrived at the museum.
Caboose Water Color Society members will be presenting their works in an art reception at Heritage Museum as part of an open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m Sunday. Area residents will be able to view art depictions of old storefront windows produced by members of the Societyâ€™s six artists and also see the opening of the Christmas Tree Forest.

The ability to stay warm when the mercury falls is something many Crossroads residents take for granted, but according to officials with the Big Spring Salvation Army, there are many within the community who struggle when the weather turns cold.
Bessie Flores, social worker for the local Salvation Army, said the weather â€” from the heat of summer to the freezing winters â€” poses a very real problem for many low- income residents, a problem that can turn deadly.
Mattie "Bobbie" McDaniel, 98, of Big Spring, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in a local nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Douglas Eugene Beams, 92, of Floresville, formerly of Big Spring died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, in Floresville. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Greenville, Miss., to Blanche and Douglas Eugene Beams Sr. He married Estelle Mayes on April 18, 1946, in El Paso and she preceded him in death Feb. 8, 1995.
Jean Hart, 78, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel.
Emma Gene Chandler, 84, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Park.
She was born April 29, 1927, Athens, Texas. She lived most of her life in Big Spring. She married Perry Chandler on June 21, 1947, in Rockwall, Texas, and he preceded her in death June 29, 1994.
Iris Elizabeth McGlothlin, 89, of Big Spring passed away Nov. 8, 2011. She was born in Bartlett, Texas, on Aug. 8, 1922. She married Carl McGlothlin on Jan. 16, 1946, in Temple, Texas.
Their first home was in Yokohama, Japan. She and Carl loved to travel and toured Europe, as well as the United States. They moved to Big Spring in the fall of 1962 and became active members of First Baptist Church. She also was a life member of Eastern Star and a past Worthy Matron.
SNYDER â€” Big Spring High School's Lady Steers lost to Andrews 3-1 in the Region I, Class 3A volleyball semifinals played today at The Coliseum on the Western Texas College campus.
In a very close battle, the Lady Steers fell 11-25, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25. Andrews moves on to play in the finals Saturday.
