George C. Cole III

After a lengthy illness, George C. Cole III died Nov. 9, 2011, in Mesa, Ariz. George was born June 25, 1953, in Big Spring and lived in the surrounding area until moving to Arizona 20 years ago.

George is survived by his son, Justin Cole, and wife Natalie of Pasadena, Calif.; daughter, Chrissy Cole of Denton, Texas; and two sisters, Peggy Lumsden and husband Lou and Terri Hedgecock and husband Joe, all of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maudine Cole, and father, George Cole.

Verna Lee Yancey Turner

Verna Lee Yancey Turner, 77, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Craig Wascom, pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating.

She was born March 31, 1934, in Colorado City, Texas, and married Billy Ray Turner on Nov. 12, 1961. He preceded her in death March 2, 1996.

Betty Anderson, 71, of Big Spring died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, Big Spring, Texas.
