Carolyn Valine Walker, 65, of Plano, formerly of Big Spring, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, in a Plano hospital. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Darrell L. Trotter, 86, of Big Spring, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, in a Big Spring hospital. His services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Mary Elizabeth “Molly†Hefner Walls went to her heavenly reward on Oct. 30, 2011 at home after a long battle with cancer.
She was born to Sam and Doreen Hefner on Sept. 21, 1946 in Big Spring. She attended Big Spring schools and graduated from BSHS in 1964.
She married Dan Walls on Sept. 17, 1965, in Dallas.
She is survived by her husband and five children, Brenda Campagna of Dallas, Pam Borio of Philadelphia, Pa., Steven Walls of Mesquite, Pam Walls of Mesquite and Mike Walls of Little Elm; and eight grandchildren.
Mike D. Williams, 39, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Holston Banks Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Branson Curtis Moore, infant son of Brandon Moore of Knoxville, Tenn., and Vanna Gaston of Forsan, Texas, passed away on his birthday, Oct. 31, 2011. He weighed five pounds and four ounces and was 18 inches long.
Charles Barbee, 81, of Big Spring died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at College Baptist Church with Pastor Ken McMeans officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
• MICHAEL RAWLS CASTLE, 31, of 1800 Morrison Drive, was arrested Friday on a warrant from other agency.
• JOSE ALFREDO ARENIVAZ, 44, of 100 Carey St., was arrested Friday on a warrant from other agency.
• EUGENE SCOTT, 62, of 1511 Tucson St., was arrested Friday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than one gram.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
In the 1300 block of S. Gregg Street.
In the 800 block of Wyoming Street.

The lights are up and flashing on FM 700 and Wasson Road.
For those traveling down FM 700, starting next week there will be an added stop along the way. Traffic signals have been placed at the intersection in order to create a better flow of traffic.
“The city traffic commission requested we do a study on the intersection and see if it warranted a traffic signal,” said Texas Department of Transportation maintenance supervisor James Gilbert.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
• RILEY ERIK WOOD, 19, of 605 Highland Dr., was arrested Thursday on charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• JUSTIN WILLIAM GONZALES, 18, of 1112 Mulberry, was arrested Thursday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• MIGUEL ANTONIO ARENIVAZ JR., 22, of 3304 W. Highway 80 Apt. 23A, was arrested Thursday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
Corinne Denton went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Nov. 2, 2011. She was born in Big Spring, Texas, on Dec. 30, 1921, to Joseph and Beatrice Mittel. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1939 and was married to James W. Denton in April of 1940. She gave birth to her first daughter in June of 1944 and her second daughter in August of 1953.
