Claudie Aaron, 70, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were held Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Midland.
Stanley Louder, 59, of Midland died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Stanton with the Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The Howard College women’s basketball team needs a lot of help as far as making the Region V Tournament is concerned. Head coach Earl Diddle knows that much.
In order to clinch a berth, the Hawks not only have to take care of Frank Phillips at 5:45 p.m. today in Dorothy Garrett Coliseum, South Plains has to beat New Mexico Junior College and Midland College has to beat Odessa.
“We’ve got to do what we’ve got to do and then we’re at the hands of these other people, which is not a real good feeling,†Diddle said. “But that’s the position we’re in.â€

A Mississippi man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday morning near the 184 mile marker of Interstate Highway 20.
Emergency personnel — including the Big Spring Fire Department, Howard County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety — responded to the crash, which happened near the highway overpass east of Exit 184, at approximately 10 a.m.
According to DPS Trooper Jared Bratcher, who is in charge of the investigation, the victim was 43-year-old Charles Corbin of Gulfport, Miss.
A new future is under construction.
Lee George Construction began work on the new Boys and Girls Club building Tuesday. Expected time frame for completion is six to eight months.
“Despite several major technical challenges which have delayed the start of construction, the Salvation Army is now confident that we can provide the community of Big Spring the best building possible,” Capt. Edgar Cheshire, commanding officer of the Big Spring Salvation Army, said.
The Big Spring City Council approved a resolution Tuesday supporting House Joint Resolution 56, a bill currently being considered by the Texas Legislature that would — by constitutional amendment — outlaw unfunded or under-funded mandates in the Lone Star State.
Specifically, the amendment would prohibit unfunded and underâ€funded mandates passed down from the state level to city and county governments.
A search of the Big Spring Landfill Tuesday by law enforcement officials failed to turn up new evidence in the case of missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn, the Colorado City teen who has been missing nearly two months now.
The Big Spring Police Department, along with investigators from other law enforcement officials from the surrounding area, used dogs to search the facility for anything tied to the girl's disappearance.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• BEVERLY RYNEL ARMSTRONG, 49, of 821 W. Eighth St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
• ROY JUNIOR HULIN, 50, of 2911 W. Highway 80 Apt. 105, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
• GERALD RAY KING, 31, of 2512 Dow, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid – no insurance.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
