Cleo Jarrell passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, in Big Spring, Texas.
She was born Jan. 4, 1945, to H.B. Smith and Opal Roberts Smith in Wapanucka, Okla. She moved to the West Texas area as a child.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Chapel.

Symphony Guild needing homes for annual tour

Have you ever wanted to open your home to the community?
Here's your chance. Homes are being sought for this year's Symphony Guild Tour of Homes, scheduled for Dec. 11.
“Last year we couldn't find enough homes so we had to cancel the tour,” said Eulaine McIntosh, Guild president. “Nobody wants to cancel the tour, but without the participation, we just couldn't do it.”
This year, David and Marie Justice have agreed to take part in the Tour of Homes, but more homes are needed. McIntosh said it would be ideal to have four to six homes to showcase.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• DEKIRTON DELANE GOLIGHTLY, 30, of Lubbock, was arrested Saturday on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct – fighting.
• ROBERT BRITO, 28, of Midland, was arrested Saturday on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct – fighting, assault causing bodily injury and unlawful restraint.
• ROBERT RUBEN SANCHEZ, 47, of 1405 Wood, was arrested Saturday on a charge of public intoxication with three prior convictions.
