Pauline Lecroy, 89, of Big Spring, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Ervin L. Bridge, 85, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park, Big Spring, Texas.

Thomas A. â€śDocâ€ť Fay, 71, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011 at his residence. Memorial services and burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, Pa.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
â€˘ ERICK SHERROD FRANKS, 36, of 1425 E. Sixth St. 34, was arrested Friday on warrants for expired registration and driving while license invalid (two counts).
â€˘ DAVID CANALES JR., 26, of 1111 Settles, was arrested Saturday on warrants for manufacture/delivery of controlled substance more than or equal to one gram and less than four grams and warrant from another agency.
If young people are concerned about the future, they need to become active in helping to shape that future.
That was the message U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer hammered home to a group of students during a question-and-answer session at Howard College Thursday afternoon.
During the hour-long session, Neugebauer fielded questions ranging from the economy and jobs to legalization of marijuana.
Not only can area residents count on the return of the Howard County Fair this year — Sept. 29-Oct. 1 — but parents will appreciate that it will more kid-friendly than ever.
“We took a year off, but we are coming back refreshed this year,” said John Nichols, Howard County Fair board member.
