âą FELICIA CANALES, 22, of 616 State St., was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
âą JARRON DAWAN VANDERBILT, 28, of 1502 Lincoln, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.

COAHOMA â The drought â the victory drought, that is â is over for the Coahoma Bulldogs and Bulldogettes.
The two teams each notched their first District 3-2A wins of the season Friday night vs. Post â the Bulldogs rallied from a first-quarter deficit to take a 63-55 win over the Antelopes, while the Bulldogettes found themselves on the high side of a 55-41 score.
The Bulldogettes improved to 6-19 overall and 1-8 in league play, while the Bulldogs improved to 1-6 in the district standings.
Both teams return to action Tuesday at Forsan.

SNYDER â Just call the Big Spring Steers and Lady Steers the Road Warriors.
The Steers and Lady Steers both won their second road game in succession Friday night at Snyder to pull back into District 5-3A contention.
The Lady Steers evened their district record at 2-2 with a 51-41 win over Snyder, while a big second-half rally propelled the Steers to a 51-36 win over the Tigers which improved Big Spring's league record to 2-1.
Both teams returning to action to district action Friday at Abilene Wylie.

Erlinda L. Fierro, 82, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at St. Lukeâs Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78250.
She was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Big Spring, Texas, the first of 10 children born to the late Jose H. Lopez and Juanita H. Lopez.
June Bingham McCracken, 86, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at her son's residence.Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Frances Bell Sain Thornton, 93, of Georgetown, Texas, and formerly of San Antonio, Texas, died Jan. 12, 2012.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Mission Park South Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas. Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Paul "Pete" Petree, 70, of Midland, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in a Houston hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, with High Priest of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Arthur Allen, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
Big Spring Crimestoppers is hoping to gather crucial information regarding a hit and run accident near the intersection of Sgt. Paredez and Trades Avenue Jan. 5 that led to the death of a 62-year-old Big Spring man.
Eleutario Torres Padron, 62, was discovered in the roadway by a passerby Thursday, Jan. 5, in the 600 block of Sgt. Paredez on the cityâs north side, according to police reports.
Not one, but two local students will be part of the Texas All-State Choir.
Juniors Andrea Cervantez and MâKalee Morgan â a home-schooled Big Spring student â will travel to San Antonio as part of the All-State Choir to perform Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
âWe are so thankful for Mrs. (Anna) OâBrien and Mrs. (Linda) Lindell,â the girls said. âIf it wasnât for them working with us, we wouldnât have made it this far.â
