The decision presented Monday night to Big Spring Economic Development Corporation board members was a hard one, according to Justin Myers, president of the BSEDC board, but it was one that had to be made.

ROSWELL, N.M. — Remember that old sports cliché about “throwing the records out the window when these two teams meet?” Apply it to just about any Howard College-New Mexico Military Institute basketball game.
The Hawks and NMMI entered Monday night's Western Junior College Athletic Conference matchup at opposite ends of the conference spectrum — Howard was firmly in second place, while the Broncos were ensconced in the WJCAC cellar.
So, of course, the game wasn't decided until the final moments.
