The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday:
â¢ ERNEST WILLIAM CLARK, 71, transient, was arrested Monday on charges of criminal trespass/property/building/aircraft/vehicle and public intoxication with three prior convictions.
â¢ PATRICK ALLEN GLENN,50, of 914 E. Sixth Street, was arrested Monday on a charge of public intoxication.
â¢ GINA GAINES GIBSON, 39, of 600 W. I-20 115, was arrested Monday on a warrant from other agency.
Funeral services for Brenda Lee (Begley) Hardin, 51, of Lovington, N.M., will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. with David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Brenda was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Clovis, N.M., to James and Barbara (Morris) Begley and passed away April 5, 2012, at Nor-Lea Hospital.
Ward Booth, of McQueeney, Texas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, died April 7, 2012 at the age of 65. He was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Odessa, Texas, to W. Ed and Louise Booth.
He was graduated from Big Spring High School in 1965, earned a degree in applied science from Howard College. He served in the Army as a Spec. 5 during the Vietnam war. He owned and operated two successful businesses. He lived in Big Spring, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio and Mcqueeney, Texas. He was a firefighter at heart.
Clyde Gafford, 95, of Bastrop, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, April 6, 2012, in a Bastrop nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Oscar Solis Sr., 50, of Big Spring died Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Pampa, Texas. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Isabel âChaveloâ Lomas, 55, of Big Spring died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Barbara Begley, 71, of Big Spring died Monday, April 9, 2012, at her residence. Services are pending with Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Nancy Arlene Reed, 61, of Stanton, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Hospice of Midland Inpatient Unit. Private family services will be held at a later date.
She was born July 10, 1950, in Hamlin, Texas, to Lou Dan (Branscum) Reed and Sam Houston Reed. She grew up in Big Spring. She had been a resident of Big Spring for more than 50 years. She worked for many years at Malone-Hogan Hospital and retired in 1989 from the Big Spring State Hospital after 17 years of service. She was a member of Godâs Rainbow Promises in Midland, Texas.
Annalee Hillger Sims âMiMiâ went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on April 7, 2012. She had a wonderful, warm and giving heart. She has a large family that continually grows with new members. She welcomed everyone she met with open, loving arms.
Faye Jean (Miss Faye) McGee, 54, of Big Spring died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Holston Banks and Minister Kathy McGee officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Hamlin East Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas.
