COLORADO CITY â A Snyder woman was treated for a concussion and split lip hours before she and her 2-year-old daughter went missing, according to the Colorado City Police Department.
Police are searching for the whereabouts of 23-year-old Brittany Brianne Hill and her infant daughter, Khloe Makinley Wheeler. The two were last seen Tuesday in Colorado City, where Hill was visiting her mother.
Police are also searching for Hillâs âboyfriendâ â 21-year-old Rosendo Gonzales.
Trinity Memorial Park has been hosting Memorial Day ceremonies for more than two decades, and this year will be no different.
The 28th annual Memorial Day Ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Monday. The ceremony will honor Howard County veterans. Veterans families have sponsored the event by purchasing flags â more than 100 âwhich will fly in the Avenue of Flags.
âThis is a great way to refocus on what the reason is for Memorial Day. It allows us to honor those who have chosen to serve our country in the Armed Forces,â Phillip Welch, Trinity Memorial Park facility manager, said.
Polls in this yearâs political party primaries will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday throughout the Crossroads area, with voters deciding which Republican and Democrat candidates will move on in the election process.
Howard County Elections Administrator Saundra Bloom and her team of clerks are ready to wrap up the primaries, despite a tumultuous election season in the state of Texas.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
⢠LAUREN LARCH SMITH, 24, of 1501 S. Scurry, was arrested Friday on charges of assault family violence threat or offensive touch (two counts).
⢠CHRISTOPHER AARON SALAZAR, 24, of 1602 Sunset, was arrested Friday on a warrant from other agency.
⢠ALBERT SMITH, 39, of 1609 Oriole St., was arrested Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces and warrant from other agency (two counts).
Frances âFrankieâ Herron, 77, of Crowley, formerly of Big Spring, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in a Fort Worth nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
