A Snyder mother and daughter reported missing Wednesday from Colorado City were located safely Saturday near the Houston area, according to law enforcement officials.
Brittany Hill, 23, and her 2-year-old daughter, Khloe Wheeler, were reported missing Wednesday afternoon to law enforcement in Colorado City while the pair were visiting family members in the area.
Wednesday's report also set off a search for Hill's boyfriend, 21-year-old Rosendo Gonzales, who, according to a statement issued by Colorado City Police Chief Roy Owens, has a violent history with the Snyder woman.
Donâ€™t forget to vote today in the party primary elections. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m.
Polls are in the following locations:
â€˘ Precincts 11-14 (including 12A), 16, 103 and 104 vote at the County Road and Bridge Office, located at 1000 N. San Antonio.
â€˘ Precincts 24-26, 205 and 208 vote at the Big Spring Mall, located at 1801 E. FM 700.
â€˘ Precincts 207 and 207C vote at the Coahoma Community Center, located at 306 North Avenue in Coahoma.
â€˘ Precincts 32-35 and 304 vote at First Baptist Church, located at 705 W. FM 700.
AMARILLO â€” Gwendolyn Kay Sheehan Oliver, 90. of Amarillo passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. Funeral services were held Monday, May 28, 2012, at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo.
Gwen was born Nov. 20, 1921, in New Castle, Texas, to Harry Curran and Maude Burdick Sheehan. As a child, she moved to Eastland County, Texas. She graduated from Pioneer High School.
Frances Yvonne "Frankie" Herron, 77, passed away unexpectedly May 26, 2012, in Fort Worth. Frankie was born in Martin County, Texas, Nov. 4, 1934, to Clyde and Verda Geurin, and graduated from Stanton High School. She met Carl Herron in 1953 at a youth rally at Prairie View Baptist Church in Big Spring. Carl fell in love with her as soon as she walked in the door, telling his friends, â€śIâ€™m going to marry that girl.â€ť They were married Dec. 24, 1954.
LaDell Musgrove, 73, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her residence. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Howard College Hawks softball player Olive Naotala was named to the NJCAA Division I Softball First Team All-American for her outstanding performance as Hawk in the 2011-2012 season.
Naotala finished the season with a .445 batting average, .967 slugging percentage, 98 RBIâ€™s and a record 32 home runs.
â€śOlive is the best player I have ever coached,â€ť said Kelly Raines, Hawk softball head coach. â€śShe was 3rd team All-American last year and to come out as a sophomore and be even better â€“ that is a hard thing to do.â€ť
