June 16, 2012

An early morning accident Saturday near Coahoma claimed the life of one person and sent two others to the hospital.
According to Howard County Sheriff Department Deputy Jimmy Mayes, the accident call came in around 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Debris from the wreckage forced officials to shut down the portion of the interstate at about 4 a.m.
The accident occurred when a 1998 black mustang wrecked out near the Sand Springs exit. A tractor trailer traveling west hit the Mustang while it was disabled on the highway and shortly after, another semi came along and hit the first tractor trailer.
