A Big Spring man pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual abuse of a child (continuous) â€“ age 14 years or less in Collins County last week, with sentencing in the case slated for Aug. 9, according to court records.
Michael Dale Hodnett, 48, formerly of Farmersville, Texas, and currently residing at 301 W. Robinson, was arrested July 13, 2010, by the Howard County Sheriff's Office on a Collin County warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
COAHOMA â€” School district officials here have filled one administrator position and are zeroing in on filling another.
Coahoma Independent School District Superintendent Amy Jacobs said today that Brett Ramsey, who has been middle school principal at Eastland ISD the past five years, has been hired to be the new principal at Ethridge Junior High School.
Ramsey succeeds Ted Hallford, who served as junior high school principal for one year.
Jacobs was enthusiastic about Ramsey's hiring.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ ADAM MARCUS ORRANTIA, 24, of 500 E. 11th Place, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction and three warrants from other agencies.
â€˘ JOSEPH ALTON MURLEY, 33, of 1405 Tucson, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
â€˘ MARCUS ARMENDAREZ, 48, of 1008 N. Gregg St., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
