The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• MYRA ANN BOONE, 32, of 4201 W. Highway 80 Apt. 2, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
• TERRENCE ALI YOUNG, 23, of 711 Abrams, was arrested Sunday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault or family violence – intentionally/recklessly impeding normal breathing or circulation and unlawful restraint.
• MARTHA ANN CRENSHAW, 47, of 4200 Hamilton, was arrested Sunday on a warrant from another agency.

The city of Big Spring is expected to cinch up its fiscal plan — and hopefully put a rather confusing appraisal gaff behind it — for the coming year Tuesday, as the panel hears final reading of the proposed 2012-2013 tax rate and budget.
The council approved first reading of the rate — 86.5043 cents per $100 property valuation — during its Sept. 11 meeting on a 6-1 vote, with District 4 Councilman Bobby McDonald the lone dissenter.
Jacky Coffman, 66, of Big Spring died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Ronnie Gaskins, 67, of Coahoma died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Edith Books, 95, of Athens is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Garden City with the Rev. Kolby Abney officiating.
A private burial will precede the service at Garden City cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Mrs. Books died Sept. 21, 2012, in her Athens residence.
