Inclement weather has forced the postponement of Forsan High School's game with Crane, which was originally scheduled for this evening.
The game will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crane.
COAHOMA â€” A swamped football field has forced Coahoma Independent School District officials to radically alter homecoming plans for tonight.
Superintendent Amy Jacobs said tonight's football game vs. Ballinger has been moved to Forsan High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Coahoma High School homecoming activities scheduled for tonight have been postponed. The queen and king coronations will be held at halftime of the Coahoma-Stanton football game Oct. 12, while the homecoming dance also has been postponed and will be held at a later date.
Because of problems with our press, delivery of the Big Spring Herald will be delayed until late afternoon at the earliest.

Heavy rain this morning has produced both smiles and headaches for Howard County residents.
A confluence of three storm systems has produced heavy rainfall throughout the county and the Permian Basin early today. Midland-Odessa International Airport recorded three inches of rain since 1 a.m. today, while Big Spring Airport unofficially received two inches of precipitation as of 9 this morning.
Time is running out for area residents looking to register to vote in the upcoming November election, as the clock winds down to what promises to be a close presidential contest.
The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election â€” which will cover a number of local elections, as well as the much-anticipated presidential contest â€” is Oct. 9, according to Howard County Election Administrator Saundra Bloom.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ SKYLER JOE JOHNSON, 19, of 1112 Lloyd, was arrested Thursday on charges of public intoxication (two counts).
â€˘ LOHINO L. HERRERA, 40, of 3407 Old Colorado City Highway, was arrested Thursday on a charge of assault â€“ family violence.
â€˘ THEFT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
â€˘ BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported:

Funeral services for Paige N. Tarango have been set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Josephâ€™s Catholic Church in Stanton with Msgr. Tim Schwertner officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Paige passed away at the age of 16 in San Antonio, Texas, amongst her family on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012. She was born Aug. 12, 1996, in Big Spring,Texas, to Shirley Cortez and Marc Tarango. Paige was a student.
David â€śDaviâ€ť Rios, 73, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with Billy Guy, pastor of Full Gospel Fellowship, officiating.
He was born June 15, 1939 in Breckenridge, Mich., to Jessie and Domingo Rios Sr. He had been a resident of the community since 1970. He owned service stations at Midkiff and Garden City but also worked in the oil field most of his life. In later years, he was a caregiver for his parents.
Bobbie N. Cooley, 63, of Big Spring died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Melva Reed, 81, of Big Spring died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at her residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
