Coats, heaters sought by Salvation Army

January 10, 2013

Officials with the Big Spring Area Salvation Army say this year's winter coat and heater drive are going well, however, with temperatures expected to drop dramatically in the coming weeks, the demand is anticipated to exceed supply.

According to Patsy Heckler, office manager for the local charity, there are a few space heaters currently in stock.

“We have approximately two to three space heaters available right now,” Heckler said. “It's always hard to say how long they will last and with the coming cold snap, I expect they will go pretty quickly.”
