Fourteen people were indicted during a Halloween Day session of the Howard Grand Jury Thursday:
â¢ Amy Abrego, 32, 1905 Wasson No. 39, possession of a controlled substance (third degree felony).
â¢ Paula J. Bulter, 44, currently in Travis County Jail, three counts of delivery of a controlled substance (offenses range from state jail felony to first degree felony).
â¢ Latonya Cubit, 32, 600 Interstate 20 No. 123, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (both enhanced to first degree felonies).

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and local merchants are rolling out âThe 12 Days Before Black Fridayâ event to in encourage residents to get shopping on their minds.
âThe Chamber Business Development Committee came up with the idea on how to get people to shop locally,â said Debbye ValVerde, Chamber executive director. âWe want the community to see what unique shops we have now right in our backyard."
Leland Hyatt, 86, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in a Colorado City nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev.s Mark Lindsey and Mike Couch officiating.
He was born April 17, 1927, in Rushville, Ind. and married Mona Lee Arnold May 28, 1955, in Connersville, Ind.
He had been a resident of Big Spring since 1979 and worked as the custodian at First Baptist Church, retiring in 1998. He loved puzzles, making miniature display horses and saddles and the Indy 500.
Jessie Marie Nelson, 94, of San Angelo, formerly of Big Spring, died Sunday Oct. 27, 2013, at Park Plaza Nursing and Rehab Center in San Angelo. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
