Construction at the Howard College San Angelo site is heading skyward.
“After weeks of watching all of this horizontal activity behind the (West Texas) Training Center – clearing of land, the building of pads — we have finally seen some vertical action,” John Parsons, campus dean of facilities of the West Texas Training Center reported to Howard College trustees Monday.
Following a generous donation from the employees of Al's Barbecue, the manager of Wal-Mart decided to do the same and matched Al's donation with the proceeds going to the annual Big Sprng Area Chamber of Commerce Toy Drive, much to the delight of Executive Director Debbye Valverde.
“We didn't get as many donations this year, so this will really help,” she said.
