Robert Kilpatrick, 68, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at his residence. His body will be in state at Myers & Smith Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. No formal services will be held.

They are a medium sized dogs. They both are around aÂ year old and are sweet girls. Mascot is a little shy, but she is very loving. They both have been with BSSCR for a while and they really need to get a home of their own. They both get along with other dogs, andÂ are good with children.
Paige Alexandra Jackson of Big Spring and Seth Randall Johnson of Forsan will exchange wedding vows Dec. 28, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Big Spring. The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Susan Jackson of Big Spring and the granddaughter of Bill and Juanita Briley of Luther, Texas and Kate Lomax of Dana Point, Calif. She is a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
D'An Hurst, daughter of Tami Wise Hurst and Lt. Col. Daryl Hurst and granddaughter of Dan and Mardelle Wise, recently graduated from the Marine Corps Boot Camp at Parris Island, S.C. and the Marine Combat Training at Camp Lejune, N.C. She is currently stationed at 29 Palms, Calif. undergoing communication training.
D'An is a third generation Marine involved in communications, as her grandfather, Dan Wise, who served in the Marine Corps 1961-1967, and her father, who is set to retire from the CorpsÂ in April 2014, were also in the communications field. Semper Fi to a new Marine.
A suspect wanted in connection with a November shooting in Big Spring has been arrested in San Antonio, law enforcement officials said.
Leroy Zubiate, 29, of New Mexico, was arrested by U.S. Marshals Thursday on charges stemming from a shooting that occurred Nov. 27 in east Big Spring.
Juan Diaz, 23, suffered serious gunshot wounds to the face and legs during the incident.
The shooting is believed to be the result of a domestic dispute between Diaz and Zubiate, said Sgt. Tony Everett, Big Spring Police Department public information officer.
The Big Spring High School theater department will present âIt's a Wonderful Life,â tonight at the high school auditorium.
âThe students have done a great job and it's really a student-led production,â said Tabatha Wright, theater teacher. âI have a student sound designer who has taken care of all the sound, a student light designer who has come up with all the lighting and the students themselves are directing each other and supporting each other.â
Wayne L. Morris, 90, of Big Spring, died Tuesday at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Elwin Collom officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 19, 1923 in Iredell, Texas and married Marciel Newman Nov. 7, 1942 in Big Spring, Texas.

Citing unfavorable weather conditions, the Texas Department of Transportation announced it is suspending construction on I-20 Business â Third and Fourth streets â during the winter.
The project will resume in March, when weather is more favorable for the type of work that remains, said TxDOT Area Engineer Jesse Mendoza, P.E.
