Pablo "Paul" Silva, 71, of Big Spring died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Odyssey Hospice in Lubbock. Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Jan. 15, 1942, in Lubbock to Librada and Vicente Silva. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He married Andrea Perez on Aug. 18, 1962, in Big Spring.
Virginia Shaw Black Fikes, a thoughtful, persevering and adventurous soul with a wide range of interests has left us after making the world a happier place for those around her for 97 years. Virginia died in Robert Lee, Texas on Aug. 16, 2013.

ABILENE â Big Spring volleyball enjoyed a successful weekend at the Bev Ball Classic Tournament, at which the state-ranked Lady Steers won four-of-six matches against a wide array of schools.
