Jeffrey David Flowers, 57, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Home Hospice House in Odessa. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
He was born May 20, 1955, in Toledo Ohio to Doris and Richard Flowers. He was married to Cynthia Flowers. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Vietnam veteran.
Sheila Bennett, 73, of Big Spring died Monday, April 1, 2013, in San Angelo. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Myrtle Banks, 93, of Big Spring died Monday, April 1, 2013, in Breckenridge. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Epefania Rios Amaro, 88, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
She was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Gonzales, Texas. She married Pedro Amaro and he preceded her in death in 1959.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and loving her family and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

Big Springers are getting ready â€” as much as possible â€” for another year of road construction through their town.
Before road renovation on Third and Fourth streets east of Gregg is finalized, Price Construction crews will begin the same type of work on a mile-long stretch of Business I-20 (Third and Fourth streets) west of Gregg.
The project nvolves rehabilitating I-20 Business from Jones Street to U.S. 87 (Gregg Street) and will include sidewalk construction. The work will tie in with the current project to rehabilitate the route from Gregg east to N. Owens Street.
Area residents will get the opportunity to hear an up-and-coming Christian rock band while also helping out the Big Spring Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, as the local charity looks to raise funds for its newly constructed computer room.
The Boys and Girls Club, which recently moved into its new building and gym located adjacent to the Salvation Army offices, will host Christian rock band Thirty-Nine Thoughts on Friday, according to program coordinator Heather DeElena.

â€¢ JUAN EDUARDO DIAZ, 23, of 1600 Martin Luther King Blvd., was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.

Howard County commissioners will hold a special meeting Monday to discuss the fallout of Tuesday night's meeting of the Big Spring City Council, which had Commissioner Jimmie Long going toe-to-toe with Mayor Tommy Duncan regarding fiscal support from the county in the opening of a new municipal landfill.
The question currently before county commissioners is whether or not to help the city fund the purchase of land and construction of a new landfill, and, if so, how much money is appropriate.
