Dolores Wickline, 84, of Big Spring died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ken McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family received friends Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
Dolores was born Dec. 30, 1928, in DeLeon, Texas, and married Phillip Wickline on Sept. 3, 1949, in DeLeon. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1975.
Marta Padron, 94, of Big Spring died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Coahoma Cemetery.
She was born June 29, 1918, in Gonzales to Bartolita and Ruperto Cruz. She married Florencio Padron on Oct. 26, 1933, in Gonzales. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Gayle S. Johnson passed away Feb. 21, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. Her ashes will be interned next to her husband, Herbert Johnson Jr., on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
A native of Memphis, Texas, she met and married her husband while they were attending West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. After Herby graduated from WT, Gayle and Herby moved to Big Spring in 1949. They briefly moved to the Panhandle until their return in 1955.
Gabino Rodriguez Jr., 60, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

The aquatic center so fervently embraced by Russ McEwen has officially been named in honor of the former Big Spring mayor and city councilman, who passed away in October 2012.
Russ McEwen Family Aquatic Center was formally dedicated during brief ceremonies Wednesday morning at the facility, which opened last year in Comanche Trail Park.
Early voting has been set in the June 8 runoff election to decide whether Raul Benavides or J.D. Smith will take over the District 5 seat on the Big Spring City Council.
Early voting will begin Tuesday and end a week later with all balloting to take place at the Howard County Courthouse Elections Office. Voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Tuesday and on Tuesday, June 4. All other days, hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On election day, voting will be held at the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum East Room from7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. XXXXXX and 7 a.m. today:
• LUPE MENDOZA CHAVARRIA, 59, of 605 S. Abrams, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for expired motor vehicle inspection certificate, failure to appear (three counts), disregarding a stop sign, parked with wheels more than 18 inches from curb and driving while intoxicated.
• RUDOLPH LEO GUTIERREZ III, 21, of 2613 S. Monticello, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for no driver's license – when unlicensed.
GRAND PRAIRIE — L. Wayne “Bus” Renshaw, 85, formerly of Big Spring passed away May 20, 2013, in Arlington, Texas.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, Texas, with the Rev. Calvary Callender officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home, prior to the service.
Pallbearers include David VanMeter, Arch VanMeter, Howard Callender and Greg Blackmore.
Dorothy Helen Stanley, 87, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in a Midland nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ken McMeans officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
She was born May 2, 1926, in Big Spring, Texas, and married John R. Stanley on May 11, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death April 5, 1996.
Mathew Ryan Hernandez, infant son of Marie and Manuel Hernandez of big Spring, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Covenant Women's and Children's Hospital in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Myers and Smith Chapel with Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, Mathew is survived by his twin brother, Manuel Rudy Hernandez Jr.; his grandparents, Olga and Cruz Sanchez and Viola and Richard Villa, all of Big Spring; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
