It's amazing what you can create with nothing more than a knife, a piece of a wood and the right attitude.
That's the message the Mustang Draw Woodcarvers Club will be spreading when they host their annual Show and Sale starting Monday at the Dora Roberts Community Center.
The annual event serves as both a showcase of club members' talents and a teaching experience. On one hand, the public will get a chance to view some of the finest wood carvings to be found in this area. On the other, they can try their hand at the craft themselves.

Donald L. â€śDonâ€ť Edds, age 75, of Lake Brownwood, Texas formerly of Midland, Texas, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at his residence. Cremation is under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home of Early, Texas.

LUBBOCK â€” Forsan brought home its sixth straight district championship after edging No. 2 Sundown Wednesday at Mae Simmons Park.
Jeremy Cervantes led the Buffaloes â€” as well as the entire field â€” with a first place finish. Tyler Evans came in second overall and Matthew Mims placed third as Forsan runners populated the top spots. Justin Goff also turned in a top 10 performance, finishing ninth. Cody Tanis earned a 15th place finish and Joshua Evans and Granger Newton claimed 18th and 20th, respectively, giving FHS a point total of 27 to rival Sundown's 34.
