Don D. Roman, 75, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held atÂ 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Revs. Walter McCall and Joey Bacon officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Tahoka, Texas. Don married Beth Kuykendall Nov. 19, 1988, in Big Spring, Texas.
Donna Mann, 60, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Hospice House in Odessa. Private family services will be held at a later date.
She was born April 18, 1953, in Odessa to Clona and Donald Allison. She had been in Big Spring for seven years after moving from Burleson, Texas. She had worked as a nail tech and was known for loving her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelsey White and husband Tyler of Brady; two sons, Jimmy Allison and Toby Golden of Big Spring; one brother, Bruce Johnson of Arkansas; and one granddaughter.
The â€śPeople's Courtâ€ť is no more.
Texas' Supreme Court abolished Small Claims Court effective Aug. 31 and restructured portions of the Texas Government Code, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Property Code to accommodate new rules for Justice Court cases which became effective Sept. 1.
In the past, while Small Claims Court and Justice Civil Court were held in the same courtroom with the same justice of the peace presiding, they were in fact very different courts with different rules.

Jesusita "Chuy" Lopez, 85, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at her residence. Vigil services will be at 7: p.m.Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Big Spring Fire Marshal Carl Condray is asking for the public's assistance in catching an arsonist he believes is responsible for setting two fires at a home in the 1700 block of Benton.
The first fire occurred late Thursday and resulted in minor damage to the outside of the house, a recently vacated rental property. Then, in the early morning hours of Monday, someone gained forced entry into the house and started a fire which caused moderate damage to the dwelling's interior.
Condray said there is no doubt the fires were deliberately set.
If anyone was wondering what U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer has been up to, they had an opportunity to find out at the town hall meeting â€śListening Sessionâ€ť held Tuesday morning.
With his little red wagon in tow, Neugebauer addressed several issues submitted by his constituents at the meeting â€” including Syria, gun control, healthcare and government intervention.
Robin Douglas Orr, 61, died Sept. 1, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas, at the Lubbock Heart Hospital as a result of complications following bypass surgery. Robin was born Aug. 30, 1952.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Ray â€śPeteâ€ť Orr.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kaye Graham Orr, of Big Spring, Texas; his mother, Faye Orr of Plano, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Joni Orr of Little Elm, Texas; his sister-in-laws, Gennie McAferty and husband Tom of Gastonia, N,C. and Margaret (Becky) Graham Winkles and husband Billy of Bay City.
