Crossroads area residents are invited to participate in some annual events that take place alongside the Big Spring Reunion and Rodeo, which is scheduled June 20-22 at the local Rodeo Bowl.
On Tuesday, June 18, Heritage Museum will hold its popular Legends and Legacies fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the museum grounds. Those planning to go will need to RSVP no later than Friday.
Tickets are $30 per person and $55 per couple. The price includes fish and chicken cuisine, beer and wine and $1,500 in â€śfunâ€ť money to be used in a casino event featuring black jack, craps and roulette.

A Big Spring man and woman remain in custody at the Howard County Detention Center today following a short car chase late Tuesday night with law enforcement officers that ended in the 3800 block of Rice Road in the southeastern part of the county.
Crossroads area residents looking for some family fun this weekend while helping a worthy cause are invited to come to Holy Trinity Catholic Parish at 1009 Hearn Street for its Summer Festival.
Beginning at 11 a.m. Friday, food will be available for dine in or carry out. Plates of asado, carne guisada or gorditas are priced at $7 each. Food orders will also be available Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. For carryout, call 270-3393.
The festival will be held from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday.
Frances Walker, 98, of Big Spring died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Parkview Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Myers and Smith Chapel with burial at Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
She was born March 1, 1915, in Coahoma to Patty and Floyd Thomason. She married Alex Walker on April 29, 1933, in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2000.
Pam Jameson, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Pam was born June 2, 1953 in Graham to the late John Lee and Billie Neal (Hibbitts) McClanahan. She married Eddy Jameson July 27, 1980
in Mineral Wells. Pam worked for Westex Telephone Co-op and was a member of Tonk Valley Methodist Church.

â€˘ JOHN MANUEL RIOS, 47, transient, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ KEVIN BRYAN ESPINOZA, 28, of 605 E. 13th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
â€˘ MELANIE LUVERNE JONES, 38, of 1003 Stadium, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. Bernard L. Gully and Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stanton.
Curtis Anthony "Tony" Luke, 59, of Big Spring died Sunday, June 9, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Captial Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
Tony was born Sept. 10, 1953, in Greenville, Miss., the only child of Curtis and Clemmie (Blade) Luke. He was a plumber for the Austin Independent School District for more than 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary Lynn Goswick, 58, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery in Big Spring, Texas.
Gary was born Aug. 14, 1954, to Una and Lester Goswick in Big Spring. He married Gina on April 14, 1993, in Midland, Texas.
