Robin Wheelhouse, 50, of Midland died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Alfredo Hinojos, 79, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Sept. 27, 1934, in Big Spring to Jesusita and Gil Hinojos. He worked a number of years at the Howard County Library. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a Catholic.

Sofia 'Pia' Calderon

Sofia “Pia” Calderon, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
She was born March 26, 1929, to Petra and Feliciano Gonzales, Sr. in Big Spring. She married Rosalio Calderon in 1965 in Big Spring. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
