Big Spring athletes begin quest for state berths

Autumn Minter and Dyrshae Vanderbilt can still feel the sting of failing to qualify for the finals at last year’s Region I-3A Track and Field Championships. It was, they admit, a feeling that left them in tears.
And extremely determined to make sure there won’t be a repeat.

HC slips to No. 17 in NJCAA baseball poll

The Howard College Lady Hawks slipped to No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Division I baseball poll. Howard College, now 32-14 for the season, fell five places in the rankling over the past week. The team had been ranked No. 12 in last week’s poll.
