Scenic Mountain Medical Center will be one of 38 hospitals along with Quorum Health Resources, a hospital management and consulting business, to be split off from its parent company Community Health Systems (CHS) into a new publicly traded hospital company.
CHS, the No. 2 U.S. publicly traded hospital operator according to Reuters news service, announced Monday it planned to spin off the hospitals and management company into Quorum Health Corporation.
A Big Spring man is in custody after being charged with burglarizing two local businesses.
Corey Preston Hoffpauir, 39, was arrested by Big Spring police this week and charged with the recent burglaries of Richard Cauleyâ€™s dentist office and Inspirations Flowers.
