David Budke, 63, of Big Spring, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012, at Texas Veterans Cemetery in Abilene with the Rev. Bob Boyce, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the funeral home.
David was born July 22, 1948, in St. Charles, Miss. and married Glenda Dolline McCrea on July 18, 1981, in Big Spring, Texas.
He had lived in Big Spring since 1963. He served in Vietnam and was a shop teacher at Big Spring High School.
Marcelline Margaruite (Besson) Buchanan a long-time resident of Lamesa, Dawson County, Texas, passed away at Youngblood Eldercare in Lamesa on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Marcelline was 94 years old.
Ruby Jade Osborn, daughter of C.J. Osborn and Kaley Duncan of Big Spring was born April 23,2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Dianne Pledjer and Dana Duncan. Paternal grandparents are Joe and Marsha Osborn.
Dahlia Jade Trevino, daughter of Frank Trevino and Amanda Ontiveros of Big Spring, was born May 30, 2012, at 2:10 p.m.
She weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and measured 20 Â½ inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Albert Ontiveros and Maria Ontiveros, both of Big Spring. Paternal grandparents are Blanca Faz of Big Spring and Alex Trevino of Big Spring.
Dahlia was welcomed home by her sibling, Raeden Michelle Trevino.
Aislin Olivia Eleanor Edwards, daughter of Hillary and Tex Edwards, of Garden City, was born May 15, 2012, at 11:16 a.m.
She weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and measured 17 Â½ inches.
Maternal grandparents are Vicki and Gary McNew of Streetman, Texas. Paternal grandparents are Brenda and Connie Edwards of Lomax and Sandy Jones of Allen.
Aislin was welcomed home by her sibling Trey Edwards.
STANTON â€” At least three times a year, the sleepy West Texas hamlet of Stanton becomes the epicenter of the shopping world. Old Sorehead Trade Days returns Saturday and Sunday.
According to officials with the city of Stanton, a dizzying array of vendors â€” hocking everything from antiques to the latest fashions â€” will descend on the town for the weekend-long event.
Organizers, however, say it's the food that draws many Crossroads residents to the event.

â€¢ KATHERINE DELORIS SCAGGS, 41, of 201 N. Scurry, was arrested Thursday on a warrant from another agency and warrants for failure to identify â€“ giving false information and possession of drug paraphernalia.
â€¢ JUNIOR JONES, 25, of 1710 S. Austin, was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
Jose V. Lopez, 87, of Big Spring died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his residence. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. James Plagens, Deacon Victor Lopez and Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
George C. Sloan, 82, of Big Spring died Thursday, June 7, 2012, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Donita Lea and Bill Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Clarendon, Texas, and married Lola Thibodeau on June 27, 1956, in Big Lake, Texas.
Maria Elena Escobar, 61, of Big Spring died Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel.
She was born April 8, 1951, to Maria and Jesus Velasquez in Big Spring, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a homemaker. She was a member of Templo Belen Assembly of God.
