Howard County commissioners will hold a special meeting Friday morning to canvass the results of the Nov. 2 general election, a contest that will provide a pair of new faces to the court in 2011.
Slated for 8:30 a.m. in the commissioners courtroom â€” located on the third floor of the Howard County Courthouse â€” commissioners are expected to sign off on the results.

A Big Spring man was sentenced to 87 months in federal prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to a charge of child pornography in July.
Fabian Duke Trejo, 26, currently in custody, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings to 87 months in prison, to be followed by a 40-year term of supervised release, announced U.S. Attorney James T. Jacks of the Northern District of Texas. Trejo must also register as a sex offender.
