For many, movie soundtracks are hidden deftly in the background of films, a presence that is often forgotten in the midst of a summer blockbuster or a tearful reunion between silver screen characters.
For others, however, the soundtracks stand on their own, at the very least conveying the emotions and memories of films through theme songs.
Who could forget the Imperial March from the Star Wars saga, or the upbeat theme from the Indiana Jones series?
Searchers from Big Spring, Coahoma and other Howard County communities turned their attention Monday morning to northern Highway 350 in the search for 13-year-old Hailey Darlene Dunn, as the girl's recent disappearance continues to weigh heavy on the minds of most West Texans.
Heather Maddox of Big Spring and DeNeise Coates of Coahoma — joined by other area volunteers — traveled the road between Ira and Big Spring Monday, according to Maddox.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• BERTHA SUSAN GARCIA, 39, of 100 N.W. Third St., was arrested Monday on a charge of speeding.
• BONNIE JANE KLAASSEN, 51, of 1500 Sycamore, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• MICHAEL WILSON CARL, 27, of 117 Davis Rd., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from another agency and a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
