COLORADO CITY — The investigation into the disappearance of a 13-year-old Colorado City girl has gained national attention, thanks to coverage by TV personality and former violent crime prosecutor Nancy Grace, as investigators continue to try to determine if the girl has met with foul play.
Hailey Darlene Dunn, an eighth grade student at Colorado Middle School, was last seen walking from her home in northern Colorado City to a friend's house about 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, according to Interim Colorado City Police Chief John Bivins.

Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce is taking applications now for Man and Woman of the Year, awards which will be presented Feb. 3 during the annual Chamber banquet at Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.
There are only a couple of guidelines in the nominating process.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity Wednesday and early Thursday:
• VALERIE MIRAMONTES GARCIA, 25, 1605 Cardinal, was arrested on warrants charging failure to display registration insignia, no driver's license, no safety belt and four counts of failure to appear.
• MEGAN ELIZABETH CARRILLO, 21, 4110 Muir, was arrested on a warrant charging speeding in a school zone.
• CRYSTAL NICOLE LOPEZ, 24, 2109 Warren, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear.
• ANDREA DENISE ALENDER, 38, 1615 Cardinal, was arrested on a charge of theft under $500/shoplifting.
