Crossroads residents will get a chance to laugh — and, more importantly, for a good cause — Saturday, as the local comedy troupe the Goondock Saints will present an evening of laughter and entertainment to benefit the local volunteer fire department.

With doors at the Hog Heaven Party Barn — located on W. Highway 80 — set to open Saturday at 7 p.m., Goondock Saints founder Clay “Goonie” Vickers said the show will offer those attending a chance to relax and enjoy some big-city humor.

“We try to do these trainings as often as possible, but lately we haven’t really had a suitable facility and now that we do, we are putting it to use,” Lt. Craig Ferguson said.
