Three Howard County officials will seek re-election on the Republican ticket Monday morning, as filing in this year's political party primaries got under way.
Sheriff Stan Parker, Precinct 3 Commissioner Jimmie Long and Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Place 1 Bennie Green all filed to run for re-election with Republican Party Chairman Craig Bailey Monday morning, the first day for political hopefuls to throw their hats in the ring for 2012.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• JESSE RAY ARMENDARIZ, 20, of Bastrop, was arrested Monday on warrants for public intoxication and failure to appear.
• DAVID FRANCO, 33, of 1407 E. 18th St., was arrested Monday on charges of disorderly conduct – language (two counts).
• FABIAN MIGUEL GALAN, 26, of 1002 N. Gregg St., was arrested Monday on warrants for no driver's license – when unlicensed and criminal mischief.
