A sudden onslaught of winter weather turned the historic spring in Comanche Trail Park into a snowy wonderland overnight, as lower temperatures and high humidity dropped several inches of snow on the Crossroads area during the early morning hours Monday.
More snow is expected throughout today, with the high temperature only expected to creep above freezing at 33 degrees. Tonight's low could dip as low as 26 degrees. Similar temperatures — without the snow — are being forecast for Tuesday — with temperatures expected to begin warming up Wednesday and Thursday.

As anticipated, thousands of people lined Gregg and Scurry streets Saturday for the annual Big Spring Herald Community Christmas Parade.
Hundreds more participated in the event, riding on floats — elaborate and simple — walking, or manning cars, bicycles, motorcycles and horses.
GEO Group won the Grand Marshal's award. Western Container won the Publisher's Award and Midway Baptist received Best of Show.
