The public will get a chance to sound off on whether Big Spring school officials should replace or renovate Moss Elementary.
A public hearing on Big Spring Independent School District plans for Moss will highlight this month's meeting of the BSISD Board of Trustees, scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the high school board room.
One day isn't nearly enough, but it's a start.
A little more than 300 veterans will be given the opportunity to gather together and take a free flight to Washington, to visit the World War II Memorial.
“We are losing around 1,100 WWII veterans a day,” Jeff Ballenger said. “We are aiming to raise $250,000. These flights are one way that we can pay tribute to them.”
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
â€¢ LESTER CLAUDE DUFFER, 31, of 2506 Hunter Drive, was arrested for driving while license suspended/invalid previous conviction.
â€¢ ALTHA ROY WILLIAMS, 42, of 612 Country Club Rd. Apt. F, Jacksonville, North, was arrested for public intoxication.
â€¢ ANSELMO JOEL ONTIVEROS, 25, of 4213 Hamilton, was arrested for failure to identify.
â€¢ CRISTA CAROLYN COKER, 20, of 208 Moore Rd., was arrested for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
