Fireworkds show 'pops' at city park

July 5, 2011

Pops in the Park went off with a bang this year.

Despite the dry conditions, Crossroads residents were able to enjoy a safe fireworks display Sunday evening in Comanche Trail Park.

“Everything was well thought out, well planned and well executed,” Howard County Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tommy Sullivan, said. “We knew we could take care of it.”

Pops began with a performance by the Fab4 Beatles tribute band and was followed by a presentation of the colors ceremony and music from the Big Spring Symphony.
