A man was airlifted from the scene of a one-vehicle rollover Tuesday morning on N. McGregor Road approximately one mile from Interstate Highway 20 after emergency responders spent nearly an hour trying to free him from the wreckage.
The victim â€” whose identity was not released at the scene â€” was driving a tractor trailer owned by Britt Trucking on N. McGregor Road when the truck and flatbed trailed left the roadway, rolling onto the driver side and partially on the roof.
When considering their next budget, Big Spring Independent School District officials can at least say that things could be worse.
BSISD, like other Texas school districts, will have to cope with a significant loss of revenue, thanks to the state legislature's decision to slash $4 billion in aid to schools over the next two years.

â€¢ BRANDI NICOLE RIGDON, 20, of 1416 Stadium, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
â€¢ LEROY COLEMAN, 22, of 2510 Hunter Dr., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from another agency.
â€¢ LAURA DEANNA HERNANDEZ, 27, of Austin, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for no driver's license â€“ when unlicensed and failure to appear.
