After weeks of foundation work, construction is starting to go vertical on Big Spring Independent School District construction projects.
The most visible sign of progress in the $60 million renovation of BSISD's infrastructure is at the site of the new Goliad and Washington elementary campuses, where the walls of the new buildings began going up last week. And school officials promise that is only the beginning.
There's a new face at Hangar 25.
Genevieve Stockburger, a recent Texas Tech University graduate, has stepped in as the new museum administrator.
Stockburger who graduated this past August with her masters degree in museum science officially accepted the keys to the Hangar Friday morning.
“I was presented with the opportunity to impact a smaller community than Lubbock, with a profound historical base and I took it,” Stockburger said.
