New officers and members were installed for the 2012 year of the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County during the organization’s annual meeting Tuesday.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• QUETIN MARCEL VANDERBILT, 25, of 2624 Langley, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for failure to control speed.
• LAFAWN FAYE CANTU, 39, of 508 Young St., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
• JOE ERNEST VALENCIA JR., 28, of 202 N.E. Third St., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
