A former Big Spring radio personality is expected to plead guilty to a charge of online solicitation of a minor in 118th District Court Friday morning, during a bench trial scheduled before District Judge Timothy Yeats.
Kyle Wade Guthrie, 27, formerly of 408 Hillside Dr., was indicted in early June on a charge of online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony.
The provost position at SouthWest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf will remain vacant, at least for the near future.
Mary Karol Matchett, who was selected by Howard College trustees to replace SWCID Provost Dr. Mark Myers in August, has informed college officials that, because of requirements that must be met for lifetime benefits in her current position at the Rochester Institute of Technology's National Institute for the Deaf, she will not be able to relocate to Texas until May 2014 at the earliest.

â€¢ OLIVIA ROSA RODRIGUEZ, 21, of 2609 Auburn, was arrested Tuesday on five warrants from other agencies.
â€¢ LYDIA MARIE HERNANDEZ, 18, of 1519 Wood, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for in park after dark (two counts).
â€¢ SERGIO DAVID ALVAREZ, 24, of 1002 N. Main St. Apt. 4, was arrested Tuesday on two warrants from other agencies.
â€¢ STEPHEN CORY WATERS, 30, of 2200 FM 820 in Coahoma, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
