As expected, Big Spring City Manager Gary Fuqua is slated to announce new restrictions to ongoing municipal water restrictions Tuesday, part of the city's efforts to comply with cuts in water deliveries from the Colorado River Municipal Water District.
Fuqua warned the council approximately two weeks ago the new restrictions — which will take the city from a schedule that allows for outside water use twice a week to a single two-hour period — were on their way.
Being prepared and empowered is the focus of the Healthy Woman March presentation, “You are Not Alone.”
The topic will center around sexual assault awareness and take place on the fourth floor in the activity room at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. There will be two opportunities to attend — Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with a light lunch provided and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with snacks available.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• JAMES WARREN TIPTON, 23, of 538 Westover Rd. Apt. 250, was arrested Sunday on two warrants from other agencies.
• ROBERTO RAMOS, 60, of 910 E. 15th St., was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
• KELLEN EUGENE BROWN, 31, of Andrews, Texas, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
