Trinity Memorial Park has been hosting Memorial Day ceremonies for more than two decades, and this year will be no different.
The 28th annual Memorial Day Ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Monday. The ceremony will honor Howard County veterans. Veterans families have sponsored the event by purchasing flags — more than 100 —which will fly in the Avenue of Flags.
“This is a great way to refocus on what the reason is for Memorial Day. It allows us to honor those who have chosen to serve our country in the Armed Forces,” Phillip Welch, Trinity Memorial Park facility manager, said.
