Coahoma Freedom Parade Saturday

COAHOMA — Pride in country and community will be on display here Saturday.

Coahoma's Freedom Parade, featuring floats, cars and tractors festooned in their red, white and blue best, will make its way down First Street beginning at 10 a.m.

The parade will start at the Coahoma High School football stadium and proceed south on First Street, east on the north service road, then north on Sixth Street before ending at the city park.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• CAROLYN HANKE, 17, of 704 Borden Rd., was arrested Thursday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• MELISSA GAY YOUNG, 43, of 704 Highland Dr., was arrested Thursday on a warrant for hindering officers discharging official duties, speeding in school zone, safety seat system-child younger than 8 or less than 4'9” tall.
• LORENZO TORRES RAMIREZ, 27, of 410 W. Eighth St., was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
