“Fill the Boot!” was the cry heard from Big Spring firefighters Saturday.
Members of the BSFD stood at the intersection on Gregg Street in hopes of raising funds in the battle against muscular dystrophy.
“This is a really good cause and we are proud to be able to support it,” BSFD Lt. Greg McAlister said.
All funds raised Saturday will remain local and provide support for families dealing with muscular dystrophy — a group of inherited disorders involving muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue, which progressively can get worse over time.
