FORSAN â€” When it comes to student safety and security procedures, Forsan Independent School officials don't consider â€śgoodâ€ť good enough.
A review of safety and security protocols in the school district left officials giving FISD a passing grade, but they were quick to add improvements could and probably will be made â€” up to and including the possibility of arming district personnel.
The Texas Ethics Commission has issued a note of final resolution in the complaint against Big Spring District 1 Councilman Marcus Fernandez claiming the local politician illegally accepted campaign contributions during his 2011 bid for office.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ STEVEN JAY CLAYTON, 30, of 1700 W. First St., was arrested Monday on a warrant from another agency.
â€˘ SARAH NICOLE DUNLAP, 28, of 315 N.E. Broadway in Coahoma, was arrested Monday on charges of theft â€“ more than $50 and less than $500 and hindering the apprehension/prosecution of a known felon.
â€˘ RICKEY LEE HAGGARD, 41, of 704 Borden Rd., was arrested Monday on a warrant from another agency.
